I have a precocious niece, who loves to sew with me. One of the first things she says when she come is can we sew? Don't you just love that. She is eight and I'm thrilled to have her as my sewing buddy. Her name is Mary. I made this quilt for her for her eighth birthday.
Or that was the plan anyway. Her birthday was in March and I just got the quilt back from Fon's and Porter. So it will be a late birthday present. I did give her another quilt so she was not without a gift on her special day.It was a quick quilt to make. Just a bunch of sew and flip squares on rectangles. I love the movement. all those pinwheels create. Makes me happy. The fabric line I used was little Ruby by Bonnie & Camille for Moda. Happy movement with ruby slippers leads to dancing and that leads to a whole lot of Merriment for Mary.
You can find the pattern for this quilt in the newest edition of Fons and Porter's Easy Quilts.Linking up with Sarah and Amanda Jean to celebrate.
