I've heard it said that there is a learning curve when it comes to free motion quilting. I feel I've been on the bottom of that curve for a long time. Slowly I feel myself rising. I now longer dislike how my quilting turns out. Often I even like it. I know I still have lots of room for improvement but I see that improvement picking up speed and that gives me hope. Part of that improvement includes speed. A good thing as my pile of tops to be quilted continues to grow. More opportunity to improve, I guess.
Just before Christmas I also decided to learn how to knit. Mostly I just want to knit socks. Some may think me silly but I've found it a good on the go project. This is my second pair. I do them two at a time. I'm afraid if I didn't my socks would not be the same. Kind of like the place mats I tried to weave. I now use them for table mats at varying places around my house so people can't tell how nonuniform they are.
In addition to free motion quilting and sock knitting we've had prom dating going on here. My beautiful daughter pinning the boutineer on her date. And here is the lovely couple. I remember when they used to have play dates in first grade. Where did the time go? Nice to have your prom date be your childhood friend.
Now it's your turn to share what you're moving forward. Looking forward to seeing your progress and cheering you on.
