It All Adds Up

When I saw this plus quilt pattern in one of my quilt magazines.  I'm sorry I can't find the one I saw it in at the moment.  To say my sewing room is a mess may be a bit of an understatement.  I'll post it when I find it.  I knew I had to make it.
I pulled all my gray and light blue scraps and started cutting them into 2 1/2" strips with my Go Cutter.  I didn't worry about length.  I just made sure they were at least wide enough for the strip and long enough to get a few of the pieces cut once the strip was made.  I then sub-cut them into the needed sizes.  After auditioning different fabrics for the plus signs I came up with a few reds, greens and yellows I liked.  I quilted it a 1/4" from the seams to created framed squares. My binding angel, Sherri bond it in black for me.
I just love how it looks hanging in the tree with the lovely fall leaves around it.
