Last week was Utah Quilt Guild's Quilt Fest. It was fabulous! I enjoyed listening to Luara Schwarz Smith and Gloria Loughman's lectures. There quilts were amazing! And it was so interesting learning about their methods. Some day I may have to branch out from my scrap bins and try some painting and printing on fabric. My mom would be so proud. She has tried to get me to paint my whole life.
My Spells class went well. The ladies did a wonderful job with their letters. Everyone got several letters made. I can't wait to see their finished quilts. If you would be interested in a class for your shop, guild or retreat contact me. I'd be happy to share.
In my spare time I cut out a new project and started sewing some pieces together. I was going to go with a light background but was not sure it would make my fabrics pop. So I found a charcoal at a local quilt shop that I like so much better. How are your sewing projects moving along? Link up and let us see your progress. Remember also to sign up for the newsletter.
